Paul often uses the phrase “sons of God” to refer to those who have been redeemed by Jesus Christ. Paul never uses the phrase “daughters of God” when speaking of human redemption. So, somewhat tongue in cheek, I must ask, Can women be saved? Can women be led by the Spirit? Do women receive “the Spirit of adoption as sons”? Are women full redemptive participants in the kingdom of God? In other words, Does God have daughters?

Yes, We Need Sunday Evening Church!
I don’t wish to be dogmatic. Nor do I embrace traditionalism for its own sake. But, I do believe there are legitimate reasons for churches to offer Sunday evening services. Sunday is the primary day of worship for Christians – it is the Lord’s Day. Churches should offer multiple opportunites for believers to worship, pray, fellowship, and receive instruction in the Word.

What is truth? Is there truth? Or, are there many truths? Postmodernism asserts that there is no single truth that should command the attention of humanity. Instead, humanity consists of various tribes, each with its on tribal story, and each story is an equally valid truth. But then again, maybe not. If one’s tribe has been oppressed, its story is given priority.

Jesus Offers a Better Way to Do Politics
Can Political Rivals Be Friends?
David and Jonathan were natural rivals – they should have been enemies. They both aspired to be king and Jonathan was the legal heir to the throne. Instead, they were like brothers. They loved each other with a self-giving, self-sacrificing love. We are told that Jonathan loved David “as himself” and stripped himself of his princely robes, armor, and weapons and gave them to David. Essentially, Jonathan was surrendering his claim to the throne of Israel in favor of David.
